2019 Pegasus Award - Announced Soon!
2018 Pegasus Award - Devyn Herren
Devyn was diagnosed in 2015 with an inoperable brain tumor called a ganglioglioma. This tumor
surrounds his brain stem. Once diagnosed, he immediately began 11 months of chemotherapy. With
MRI's showing stability he was able to come off chemo for approximately 1 year until a routine MRI
showed slight growth. As you know this was a heartbreak all over again for our family, as we saw how
the first rounds took such a toll on Devyn's ability to just be a child. Devyn's bright and spunky
personality however didn't stop. We immediately got a new port and began the new regimen of
chemotherapy every 2 weeks for up to 18 months. Devyn's recently completed his 10th month of this
regimen and is still going strong despite all of the daily difficulties he encounters.
Like anyone with cancer, Devyn has his days that he's just ready to be done but with the love and support from family and community members he pushes through as he's been a hero to many!
Come join us on Sept 22nd, 2019 at 7:30 am at Corporate Woods to raise money for aggressive pediatric brain tumors. You will have a chance to meet Devyn and his family too!!!
